1.Shipping Scope
HD Stone ships natural stone products globally, including to Europe, North America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. We have extensive experience with international stone exports from our base in Xiamen, China.
If you are unsure whether we ship to your country or region, please contact us at ting@hd-stone.com.
2.Shipping Methods
Due to the weight and fragility of natural stone, all orders are shipped via:
- Sea freight (LCL – Less than Container Load) for smaller orders
- Sea freight (FCL – Full Container Load) for large or bulk orders
- Air freight (available upon request for small samples or urgent items — additional charges apply)
We work with experienced freight forwarders and shipping companies with proven track records in fragile goods handling. Shipping is arranged on an FOB (Free on Board) Xiamen basis unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.Production & Lead Times
- 7–15 Business DaysStandard stone slabs and tiles
- 15–25 Business DaysCustom fabricated items — cut-to-size, special edge profiles, shaped pieces
- 25–45 Business DaysLarge-volume or complex architectural projects
Production begins only after the required deposit is received and your specifications are confirmed in writing.
Production times are estimates and may vary based on factory workload and material availability.
4.Transit Times
Estimated sea freight transit times from Xiamen Port:
| Destination | Port / Region | Estimated Transit |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | Major ports | 25–35 days |
| United States | East Coast | 25–30 days |
| United States | West Coast | 15–20 days |
| Middle East | Dubai, Jeddah | 15–20 days |
| Southeast Asia | Regional ports | 7–15 days |
| Australia | Major ports | 15–25 days |
Transit times are approximate and do not include customs clearance time at the destination port. Actual delivery to your site or warehouse depends on your local logistics arrangements.
5.Packaging Standards
Protecting your stone during international transit is a top priority. Our standard packaging includes:
- Wooden crates with reinforced metal binding straps
- Foam padding and plastic film wrap around each slab or tile
- Bubble wrap for polished surfaces to prevent scratching
- Edge protectors and corner guards for slabs
- Moisture-resistant wrapping for sea freight
Each crate is labeled with product information, quantity, gross weight, and handling instructions.
6.Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Order volume and weight (CBM / gross weight)
- Destination port and Incoterms
- Chosen shipping method (LCL, FCL, or air)
- Fuel surcharges and port handling fees at the time of shipment
A shipping cost estimate will be included in your proforma invoice before order confirmation. Actual shipping costs may vary slightly due to fluctuations in freight rates. HD Stone will notify you of any material changes before proceeding.
7.Customs & Import Duties
All customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and related fees at the destination country are the buyer’s sole responsibility. HD Stone will:
- Provide all required export documentation, including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin
- Assist with providing HS (Harmonized System) codes and product descriptions as needed
We recommend consulting with a local customs broker in your country to understand applicable import regulations and duties before ordering.
