Applications
Where Ancient Wood Grain Marble Works Best
Flooring
Laid edge to edge, the linear grain reads like dark hardwood planking — without the scratches or refinishing solid timber floors need over time. Polished for lobbies; honed or brushed where grip matters more than shine.
Wall Cladding
Book-matched across two or more slabs, the grain lines mirror into one continuous pattern — a recurring choice for reception walls, feature walls, and lift lobbies.
Hospitality & Hotels
From check-in counters to corridor floors, hotel groups specify this stone because it reads as warm as timber under lobby lighting, yet handles decades of luggage carts and foot traffic without a scratch.
Private Residential
In villas and private homes, it most often appears on staircases, living-room floors, and master-bathroom walls — anywhere a warm, natural material needs to survive water, heat, and daily use.
Commercial Projects
For office towers, retail interiors, and mixed-use developments, we supply at container-load scale, with consistent colour and grain matching from the first slab to the last.
From five-star hospitality to private homes, wood grain marble interiors continue to pair natural stone with modern architecture — most often alongside matte black fixtures and warm lighting that highlight the stone’s linear grain.

How It’s Made
From Quarry to Slab
Six steps take each block from the Jiangxi quarry face to a crated, export-ready slab.
01
Block Selection
Blocks are selected at the quarry face for base-colour consistency and vein continuity before approval for cutting.
02
Gang-Saw Slabbing
Approved blocks are cut into 2cm or 3cm slabs on multi-blade gang saws, preserving natural vein direction across each cut.
03
Mesh-Backing & Fissure Fill
Natural fissures typical of vein-cut black marble are reinforced with fibreglass mesh and filled — a standard structural step before polishing.
04
Calibration & Finishing
Slabs are calibrated to uniform thickness, then polished, honed, or antique-finished to order.
05
Batch Photography & QC
Each batch is photographed for client sign-off and inspected for colour and grain consistency before packing.
06
Fumigated Crating & Export
Slabs are packed in fumigated wooden crates with edge protection, ready for FOB shipment from Xiamen port.

Buyer’s Guide
Natural Marble vs. the Alternatives
Wood-look surfaces come in three materials that get compared often — and confused just as often. Here’s where each one actually differs.
| Aspect | Ancient Wood Grain Marble | Wood-Look Porcelain Tile | Engineered / Printed Stone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pattern origin | Natural mineral veining, unique per slab | Digitally printed, repeats every few tiles | Printed film or resin layer, repeats |
| Book-matching | Yes — mirrored veining across sequential slabs | No — printed pattern doesn’t mirror | Limited, pattern-dependent |
| Max format | Slab up to ~320×190cm (raw) | Large-format tile, no true slab | Slab format available |
| Heat resistance | High — natural stone | High | Moderate, resin-dependent |
| Best suited to | Feature floors & walls, hospitality | Budget floors, wet areas | Countertops, vanities |
