What Is Natural Granite?
Granite is an intrusive igneous rock formed when magma cools slowly deep within the Earth’s crust over millions of years. This gradual crystallization produces its characteristic coarse-grained texture — interlocking crystals of quartz, feldspar, and mica — which gives the material its exceptional hardness and structural integrity.
Unlike softer decorative stones, granite is naturally resistant to scratches, heat, and acids. Its silica-rich mineral composition means it does not etch when exposed to common household acids or high temperatures from cookware — properties that make it the preferred material for kitchen countertops, flooring, and exterior cladding in demanding environments.

No. Granite is 100% natural igneous rock quarried directly from the earth. Engineered stone (such as quartz composites) is manufactured from crushed mineral particles and resin binders. Granite carries natural mineral variation that cannot be replicated in engineered products.
